Mountain Home AFB Electrical for Aircraft Shelters
Through regular communication with base personnel and coordination with subcontractors, Guardian completed this $116K project on time despite harsh winter conditions.
This project included the installation of new disconnect panels, transformers, and transmission lines on recently erected aircraft shelters. To perform this work, we had to trench through an existing asphalt parking lot and bore beneath the concrete flight line roadway and aircraft taxiways.
The Notice to Proceed date was delayed, causing the project to begin in the fall. We worked through inclement weather conditions because of the late start. Guardian Construction assisted in proposing an alternate route for the installation of the primary electrical transmission lines, which shortened the route and allowed Guardian Construction to reduce the costs of the final project.
